🔧 About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated CAD Technician with experience in Mechanical and Electrical drafting and prefabrication detailing to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the production of accurate 2D CAD drawings for mechanical and electrical services, collaborating closely with estimators, design engineers, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate and detailed 2D CAD drawings for mechanical, electrical, and prefabricated installations.
• Interpret engineering sketches and markups into precise technical drawings.
• Support coordination of chilled water pipework, steel gantries, modular frames, and prefabricated plant rooms.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, BIM protocols, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure constructability and integration of off-site prefabrication elements.
• Provide leadership on low energy and sustainable design practices.
• Assist with drawing revisions and maintain version control and document management protocols.
• Work closely with the estimating and project delivery teams to ensure alignment on prefabricated modules and site coordination.

🛠️Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CAD drafting, preferably within the MEP or construction sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential, 3D an advantage).
• Understanding of building services and prefabrication principles.
• Ability to interpret technical information and engineering markups accurately
• Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of prefabrication methodologies, plant layout, and component integration is highly desirable.

💼 Desirable:

• *Exposure to data centre or commercial projects is a plus.
• *Experience with Revit, Navisworks, or 3D modelling tools.
• *Familiarity with modular construction techniques or DfMA principles.
